The Hotdog Pencil Case

I am very excited to share that I have been working on a new blog/website and although it’s not quite ready yet, it will be launching soon! I decided that I really wanted to bridge my personal writing website with my personal blog so that it’s a one-stop-shop for all things related to my writing. I am moving to wordpress because it will allow the site to be much more interactive than a tumblr account, allowing for reader comments and discussion. I think it’s going to be great!

If you hadn’t noticed already, I have failed miserably at trying to stick with the Photo A Day Challenge I set out to do at the beginning of January. I’d like to say, “my incredibly busy, full and illustrious life outside of the internet got in the way,” but it’s more along the lines of, “watching too many episodes of Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel every day got in the way.” Ugh. Fail to the utmost degree.

I still have every intention of finishing the challenge and when I do, I’ll just fudge the dates on when each picture was posted (tumblr allows me to be sneaky like that). Though, not so sneaky when I write about it… ah well.

On an exciting note, I can blame the last two days worth of neglecting the internet on adopting a new kitty!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am pleased to introduce you to Robin Van Purrrsie! Complete with a hairball on his head.

He is approximately 7 years old and we have been waiting for him since the summer! He arrived at the shelter with a very nasty ulcer in his eye along with some horrible teeth, so he needed quite a lot of medical attention before he was healthy enough to come home and join our family. But, so far it’s been wonderful! He has really taken to Ira and we think has already decided he’s his snuggle buddy. Ira seems quite agreeable to the idea.

So, expect to see more of Robin here on the hotdog pencil case as well as on my furrier blog, dog+dog+cat.
